Last time this topic was discussed was 4 and 7 years ago, so thought I’d try again.
I work in Scrivener, and the vertical split window feature is extremely useful for editing – I can scroll down on one side to see the bottom of the same document, or open two documents to compare, and copy and paste back and forth, either way.
I see you now have side-by-side view but only for html.
I’d really, really, really like to have it for any doc – rtf, pdf, etc.
I’d be delighted to have you tell me it’s already there and I just missed it, but I’ve searched here and in Help, and nothing.

Have a look at the scripts menu - gives you two windows side by side. If you select only one item it is displayed in two windows.

You can get something quite close to the Scrivener split-screen experience by resizing the Annotations inspector with judicious use of item links as document URL properties. See here for a slightly convoluted explanation.
Thank you; worked like a charm, and easy to do. And it can be same file or two different ones.
This will be in regular use.

PS And hope refreshing the topic will bring it to others attention; a very nice feature.
