When I create a smart group within a database on my iMac based on a due date, this group is displayed in DTTG4, but the group cannot be opened and the content cannot be viewed. The group is grayed out.
The same group—but without a due date—is also displayed, and the group can be opened and the content displayed.
Can I change this, and if so, how?
Smart groups are complex to make compatible across platforms using different underlying technologies. Could you post how the critera of these non-working smart groups look like on the Mac? So we can test them outselves here.

OK, I was ill for a couple of weeks and now had a proper look at your smart group. It is, actually, rightfully disabled because DEVONthink To Go 4.0.x does not yet know about due dates and so a smart group using due dates would return unexpected results if it would simply ignore the due date field.
Due dates are, of course, on our list of improvements for DEVONthink To Go.
