Smart Group with and without content count

No

A screenshot of the sidebar/view plus one of the smart group’s condition would be great, thanks.

No—even when I select the smart group and even when the preference is checked…and even when I’ve scrolled through all of the results of clicking on the smart group.

Mind you, the smart group is doing a lot of work:

It finds 1,118 records out of 19,102. I’m not bothered by the missing figure and mention it only to show there are occasions when it does…well, go missing!

As this doesn’t seem to be a global smart group: Is the item count shown in the main view?

No

No, it doesn’t work. No, count for this particular smart group.

That is a local smart group.

What is the criteria for it?

Expanded/selected local smart groups in list/columns view should indeed show the item count but don’t. Fixed.

That was never my problem. What’s about the item count in the sidebar?

That’s a different issue and currently a known limitation.

No it is not, it’s the problem that’s why I start this thread.

Any idea how and when it will be fixed?

Well, technically it’s a different issue

No promises but we’re aware of the issue.

The next release will show the item count of more smart groups automatically but this will still depend on the conditions and the number of items in the search scope. E.g. these ones should then show the item count usually:

Great move @cgrunenberg. I really appreciate this change. Is a hidden preference to switch it on or off not the better way, just asking.

A hidden preference for all smart groups is currently not an option.
