Guten Tag allerseits. Maybe there is a better way to do this but my DEVONthink database is very large and I for that reason I don’t want to sync this entire database to my iPhone or iPad. Well if these devices had much, much more storage I would happily sync my entire database. So I came up with the idea of creating a Smart Group that contained all items with the tag, “Mobile Sync”. I then put this Smart Group in the Mobile Sync folder in DEVONthink. When I subsequently synced my iPhone this Smart Group would not sync with DEVONthink To Go 1.x.
If allowing a Smart Group folder in the Mobile Sync folder that will sync with DEVONthink To Go 2.x is not going to be a feature of DEVONthink To Go 2.x I would appreciate any ideas that someone else might have about this. I really like my data in groups of related items like “Apple Tips and Tricks”, “Gift Ideas” or “Business Forms” instead of having some items in these folders and some in the Mobile Sync folder.
