Smart Rule on Folder Action?

I set up a folder action to import some items from a folder on my desktop. Is there a way to create a rule that acts on anything that was brought into DTP using a folder action?

There is no built-in mechanism for detecting an item was imported via folder action. However, you could edit the folder action script to change some attribute, e.g., adding a tag or color label. Then add this as a criterion if the smart rule.

Or you could index that folder in DEVONthink and create a Smart Rule to import the items using the same criterions as the folder action.
