Hi! I’m trying to figure out why my duplicated MD files are not coloured as expected.
Yet, as you can see on the screenshot below, I checked the right box in the DT Preferences. Did I miss something? I’m using DT 3 with Mac OS Sequoia 15.4. Thanks for your help.
There’s no indication that’s a duplicated file. Why do you think it is?
This is exactly what worries me: I followed the procedure - duplicate to - and I don’t get any duplicates. And I realize that I can’t create replicants either. What’s going on?
There is not enough information to assess here.
- You’re duplicating to where?
- You’re trying to create replicants how and to where?
More details describing what you did (eg screenshots) might help to get your point across.
Posting a screenshot showing no duplicates and stating that duplicates are not colored does not get you very far, I think.
I just understood by reading your question: I wanted to duplicate and replicate notes from one database to another and that’s what doesn’t work. On the other hand, when I duplicate or replicate a note within the same database, it works.
Excellent!
And correct: You can’t replicate between databases. And you can copy (duplicate) items between databases, but they aren’t detected as duplicates between those databases.
OK. I’ve been using DEVONthink for years now, but not as a primary database and I have to understand again the way it works. The title of my post is a litte bit dramatic. Everything here works perfectly!
No worries and glad to hear it!
