I’ve just about had it with this f****g forum’s front end!
I just wasted 20 minutes thinking about and typing in a message (after having dutifully logged in) and when I hit the “submit” button, I was furious to find that I had to log in again, and I had also lost all that I’d written (having forgotten to to select all and do a cmd-c).
This is not the first time recently as this has happened several times.
This is totally ridiculous and infuriating.
Yes, I know that the DT team is out for the holidays and that it is rather more important to get Version 2 out the door, but I really needed to vent.
Grr-r-r-r-r!cuss cussswear swear (in German, French, Swedish and Finnish and a few languages known only to me!)
Been there, had that happen, and not just on this forum. I’ve developed the habit on all forums, that when I create a lengthy post I Command-A, Command-C the post before hitting the submit button.
I’m in the habit of Command-C copying composed text before Preview/Submit.
Seems it’s similar for Tod and he simply forgot this time (for whatever reason, like I’ve occasionally done, e.g. after having first made several (likely short) posts on other forums where it’s unnecessary before then posting here). I also tend to use Preview a lot and can skip/forget a Command-C before each one now and then.
In other words, it’s not a total, all-forum habit for me (and possibly Tod) like maybe it ought to be.
Wish this was more up-beat for what will likely be my final post here for 2009. I just cherry picked this single topic as the most short, interestingly titled one from a relatively long unread list.
