Sorter cannot clip from Google Chrome on MacOs Big Sur 11.1

Hi,

Using the sorter to clip from Chrome (or Safari) does not work on MacOs Big Sur 11.1

Here is the error messages I received :

DEVONthink 3 wants access to control Google Chrome. Allowing control will provide access to documents and data in Google Chrome and to performa actions within that app.

which disappears very quickly. Then

Unable to clip from Google Chrome. Check Devonthink has rights to access the web browser and that the active tab has a URL.

I did check Google Chrome under DEVONthink in the Automation tab of Security preferences, but it is unchecked again after I tried clipping

The same thing works fine on a catalina machine.

Thanks

Chrome extension, issue with permission box coming up each time

Hi, thanks for the pointer… but that did not help.

Please note that the problem is with the Sorter Clip to DT tool, not with the Chrome extension.
And actually I see the same problem with Safari on Big Sur.

That’s a macOS issue, not something under out control. Keep you finger on the Return key and press it immediately when you see the prompt.

OK. That works, thanks !

You’re welcome
Hopefully Apple will get this under control in the next point release.
