Sorter position when accessed via hotkey

It would be great if you could reposition the sorter when accessed by hotkey and have it remember that position on subsequent hotkey access.

Please provide whether you’re using the menubar or docked tab option, as well as what OS you’re running.
I am not seeing an issue invoking the Sorter with a hotkey.

I’m using the sorter as a menu extra, triggered by hotkey and it works as intended. My post was more of a feature request. I’d like to be able to drag around the position of the sorter (e.g., to the middle of the screen). Assuming the expected behavior is top right.

I’m running macOS Monterey 12.0.1, DEVONthink 3.8
