When using View > Sort > Threads what is the order used? It seems that they are sorted on the addition date (which cannot be changed…) - or is something else happening? I’m trying to show threaded messages sorted by creation date (not addition date).
They’re sorted by modification date.

Just wondering: why actually not creation date? It seems to make more sense as the creation date is(?) extracted from the Date: header from the e-mail (and is also the sort order which most e-mail clients use).
Sorting by threads is actually optimized for feeds which don’t support grouping like email archiving does.
OK - it would be nice to have some attention for e-mail threads or more in general: to be able to sort on more than one condition (this has been asked before, I just add my vote to this)
