State of OCR in DT3

I’m not sure of the state of OCR in DT3. I had some problems in the beta that dont semm solved in the shipping version: I sed to have all my scans automatically converted to PDF+Text and cannot replicate this essential process now. Documents appear as PDFs and I have to convert manually. Am I missing a new setting or doesn’t work ?

Try the following:

  • Open OCR section of DEVONthink 3 Preferences
  • Change the Convert Incoming Scan option to “To RTF document” and then change it back to “to Searchable PDF”
  • Trying scanning a new document.
