Styling and Scripts

Hi, does anyone know where I can find which parts of styling of text, paragraphs I can manipulate with scripts?

Perhaps you can start by searching in the forum such as “reformat rtf” or “reformat” in general and you’ll need to check the Applescript dictionary of DT.

Batch reformatting font (but retain bold and italic) for rtfd files

Looking for valuable help from this forum: I have written a script that performs batch reformatting on a selection of my annotation notes by (1) changing all fonts to Courier New but retain all original bold and italic format (2) deleting all extra lines between paragraphs. The script works for the most part but with two big issue: (1) The first section of my annotation note is a 2-row x 3-col table. Thanks for the tip but dont seem to find any useful script-lets.
I can set Paragraph spacing after, but cant find how to set it before?!

Would be nice if all formatting available from menus also are available in scripts.

Can you clarify why this would be useful?

Hi, I should have been clearer. I meant that everything that can be set using the UI should also be available for scripting.
As an example I would like to set spacing before AND after a paragraph.

I suppose that RTF formatting scripting (I suppose that you’re talking about RTF, not Markdown) is not governed by DT3 but by Apple itself, like in the Text Suite. So they’d have to do something about it. Which I doubt they will.
