Resubmitting a request from Files in /private/tmp/ Directory in the correct subforum:
Could a future version of DT use a subdirectory of /tmp for its temporary files to conveniently segregate them from everything else? My desire for this was really apparent the other day when I had to filter out over 1000 DT temp files while checking for other files in /tmp.

[edit: After rereading your reply in the other thread it sounds like direct /tmp directory usage is a constraint of the System Services implementation rather than something that could be specified by DT. If that’s true then cancel my request.]
