The current behavior of the Reveal command is that it will:
- in the sidebar: highlight the files containing folder
- in the view pane: show the contents of the group that contains the file, with the file selected
But I usually work with the sidebar hidden, and the View pane set to List. So when I use Reveal (e.g. if I search for a file, then want to access the folder it is in), all I see is the View pane jump to the containing group (with the breadcrumbs above).
What I wished would happen is: when you use Reveal command and the sidebar is hidden, have the view pane expand all the groups that contain that file (drilling down the hierarchy), then select the file.
