"Summarizes Highlights" don't work properly on pdfs

That would be strange you could use Chrome (notorious for data-mining and privacy issues) and not Safari.

And I suspect you have bad PDFs coming out of Chrome, PDFs that have a text layer but aren’t PDFKit-compatible.
When you print a PDF to DEVONthink is it listed as PDF Document?

So in Chrome what I do often is:

  • I use corporate gmail account and use gmail print all option to print an email to pdf
  • when reading some web page I use chrome print command to print the content of that into pdf

Both of those when put in Devon they have Kind = PDF+text

However they are:

  1. not searchable - for ex. if in the email I have “supported version of redhat” and If I search in Devon that document will not be listed in results
  2. Summarize highlights from Devon does not produce the expected

If I OCR them (which I do) both above problems are resolved.

Could you start a support ticket and attach a PDF printed directly out of Chrome for us to examine? Thanks!
