Swapping Out Main Machine's HDD, Question on Data Backup

I am swapping out my iMac’s HDD and I am using Carbon Copy Cloner to do make a drive back-up. I intend to then use that back-up to write data to the new HDD.

In the event that the above plan doesn’t work out, as long as I have a copy of my DevonThink databases on another drive I should be good to go right?

Yes, as long as you can download and reinstall DEVONthink if the experiment ends up trashing your iMac’s drive.

Good deal. I figured it was simple, but wanted to double check. It always when you think something is simple that it bites you in the ass.

And also, make sure you are being diligent in your local daily backups.
