Sychnronize: Skipping empty file

Today, I discovered a very strange behavior for synchronization. The sync on MacOS names a lot of files “empty”. This is why sync is skipped for this file.

When looking on the iOS app, the last update for these files was on Jan 01 2025 18:19 (at least the ones I looked into). However all of these files were not touched for more than 5 years.

Question 1: is there a possibility to discover what happened at that point in time and caused the issue?
Question 2: how to solve the problem? Is there a simple way to identify all the files subject to the error, export them on Mac, delete them and add them to the library again (to the same folder, they currently are). I would like to avoid exporting and rebuilding the database in whole, because it would last a long time until all of my devices are synced again.

Thank you, Volker

Using up to date versions of macOS, iOS, DEVONthink, DEVONthink ToGo? What sync method are you using? Does the Log on either/both mac and iOS device provide clues?

Only message is “skipping empty file” or the German equivalent of the message.
I use a WebDAV service for synching (LuckyCloud).

What kind of files? Is the modification date of thesse files on the Mac the same or older?

I always have empty files, and these tend to be older bookmarks

The original files on the this were ok. So I added these files again to devonthink. No it is fine. I am not sure what caused the error in Devonthink.
