Hi,
I use Devonthink Pro (2.4.3) on an iMac running Mountain Lion, and would like to use the new sync option.
I created a DEVONthink Pro 2/Plugins folder in ~/Library/App Support/ into which I put the two files in the zip as instructed. However, the Sync Preference Pane file does not install correctly; I get a message saying “Could not load com.devon-technologies.DEVONthink.Sync.Preferences preference pane.” As such, I can’t get the Sync Tab in Preferences.
Is this because I have to open DT as 32 bit instead of 64 bit? If so, how do I do that? If not, what else might I be doing wrong?
Thank you
Laurahead
The path for the plugin folder is: ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink Pro 2/Plugins/
Not sure if this is what you have done as you mention ~/Library/App Support/
Set DEVONthink to 32-bit via a check box in the Finder’s info pane (select DEVONthink, then command-i to show info, check ‘Open in 32-bit mode’).
Hi,
Thanks very much for your quick and helpful reply. I got the Sync panel running and, of course, have run into a second problem. I am setting up one of my databases to sync to a WebDAV server account. DT is able to start the sync process, but then quits after 30 seconds due to an error in the “store structure” setting. What does the “Store Name” refer to in the Sync Preference Pane? I just put in the name of the Database I was syncing.
Thanks again
Laura
Glad to help with what I can, but I won’t be of any help on your second question. Perhaps someone who has more experience with setting up a DEVONthink sync with WebDAV can jump in and give you some suggestions.
