Maybe I’m missing a menu option to turn it back on - but I used to get a popup during database synchronization. I haven’t seen it since the roll out of the “new sync” stuff. Is it buried in the menu options somewhere, or has it been removed? As much as silent-sync is impressive, I get warm and fuzzies seeing the progress bar complete.
Downloads/uploads should be displayed in the Activity window (see Window menu), a modal progress indicator is displayed while committing changes. But both the Activity window and the progress indicator aren’t displayed if the process is too fast and the new synchronization is a lot faster than the old one of DEVONthink 2.5-2.8.11
