It sounds like I should remove the actual Database file from the DropBox folder where I’ve always kept it, then synch that to DropBox using the new synching function in DevonThink. That way the database will live on my dard drive (rather than in DropBox) but a version of it will be uploaded to DropBox for synching onto my other machines. Is that right?

Syncing and database location/storage

This may have been answered elsewhere; if so, apologies. If a database is set to sync through Dropbox, does the entirety of the database move into the newly created Dropbox/Apps/… folder? (in other words, can I then delete the copy that’s stored elsewhere?). Or do I need to maintain an original copy of it in the folder it’s currently in, in addition to the folder created in Dropbox? I (and I suspect quite a few others…) have already been keeping my DTPO databases in a folder on Dropbox. I simply load up the database on one Mac, making sure DTPO is closed on the other one. I’d get the odd warning about being in use by another user but it wasn’t ever an issue. My question is… with the new sync feature, what is the best route for me here? Does the new Sync feature presume that the DTPO databases live outside the Dropbox folder? and then sync with the version in the Apps s…
