Syncing indexed databases

I created a new database today for a case with multiple gigabytes of data. The database is under 200MB on my local disc. The indexed directory is kept in sync with my MacBookAir at home.

I use a local sync store and a File Transporter to keep my DevonThink in sync.

When I looked at the local sync store today, it swelled from 1GB to over 6GB, I assume because of the indexed directory.

Will the sync store get smaller once I import the new database and DevonThink sees that all the indexed files are stored on the other computer as well?

Thanks

No. Your local database is not going to point to a remote machine (and logically it shouldn’t. What if that machine exploded or was out for repair? What would your local database be pointing to?)
