# Syncing limits of Dropbox

What are the syncing limits to Dropbox? This is a simplified form of my questions below:
How many databases can belong to a sync store in Dropbox? or how big can a sync store be?
My question comes from the note that Dropbox can only handle eight connections. I don’t think this means a limit on databases. Is it a limit on how many devices can sync to the sync store in Dropbox?

Your syncStore is limited by the available space in your Dropbox account. It’s the same question as, “How many files will fit on my computer?” 😃
Dropbox (and many other services) use things like limiting the maximum number of connections to control their bandwidth usage. And no, it’s not a device limit. It’s a connection limit. A device could initiate more than one connection simultaneously.
