Is there a way of assigning and searching by tags in DTTG?

I don’t think so. DT2G is pretty much a document reader and note taker - not much you can do with metadata at this stage. Hopefully will change in the near future.
DTTG can’t do that. It is like the fellow previously mentioned more or less just a document reader. It’s not so hot.
DTTG2 when it is released is intended to correct a lot of shortcomings. It’s a wait and see thing at this point in time.
