Hello all! I’ve done some searching, but am afraid I can’t find these details:
Is it possible to ignore case when creating tags? I have some instances of “To Read” vs. “to read” that I’d like to merge and not have separate moving forward.
I’d also like to change it so that I don’t have groups and sub-groups added to files as tags.
“Preferences” doesn’t seem to have a “tags” section? Thank you!

In File > Database Properties, enable Case Insensitive Tagging, documented in Help > Documentation > Windows > Database Properties > Options.
2. I’d also like to change it so that I don’t have groups and sub-groups added to files as tags.
If you are adding tags to groups, they will appear in the tag groups you’ve used. This is by design and not user-definable.

It’s unrelated in this case, but Preferences > Files > Import > Tags.
