Thanks and sync between Macs

First, let me thank you for your great work on the new sync.
I hoped it would become possible since years.
Your technical knowledge is now very high about sync and this is great!

Until now, I am able to sync via DropBox.

But I am not able to find how to sync between Macs.
I understand how to create a local sync store on one of the Macs.
But in “preferences/sync/locations”, it seems to lack “Local network” to be able to link the other Macs to the local store just created on the Mac that, if I understand well, host the local DevonThink Cloud.

Do I miss something?

You need to turn on Bonjour in Preferences > Sync > Bonjour Options.

Remember to read DEVONthink’s built-in Help > Taking your data with you.

Thanks Jim,

When I read the help, it seems that this is the way to import a database from the host.
But what happens if the database is also already on the client?

With the old sync, DevonThink was able to recognize that the same database was already there and DT then asked the user to confirm it was truly the same database on each side, is it still the case?

Please check this out: Direct connections without "host" and "client"

Thanks again.

Everything is running now.

Thanks also for answering during the weekend!

My pleasure. People need help every single day.
