As shown on the picture attached, the counter of my global inbox counts 2 documents although there is nothing inside… (edit: and nothing inside the Annotations SmartGroup as well)
Would someone here know how to fix it and how not to make it happen once again?
(I’m running under the last update of Snow Leopard.)
The counter is not wrong. It counts groups and documents. The tags group is special and is not counted. You have two user-defined groups. Hence, “2”.

Is not this counter counting the number of unread documents? I had never noticed it was counted all documents and groups…
