trying to search inbox in open db

I have an open database with items in the inbox. However, when I perform a search (search for all) I can’t find any of those items. What am I doing wrong?

This is a pretty broad subject. Can you give an example like:
I have a file called “TomsStuff.txt”. When I search Names for “Stuff” it doesn’t find it (and in this case it wouldn’t).

I believe that you pointed out the error of my ways.

I have a bookmark “tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE BIBLIOGRAPHY.” It seems that it only is found by a search for the entire word “tentatively,” but not a partial word e.g. “tent” or the words “convenience” or “bibliography.”

I see the errors of my way. I have a bookmark “tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE BIBLIOGRAPHY.” I was able to find it if I searched by “tentatively” only. If I searched by “tent,” “convenience” or “bibliography” it wasn’t found. However, I just tried & I was able to locate the bookmark by searching for “convenience” or “bibliography.”
