I’m enjoying the new tutorials. One question – On the clipping tutorial these directions appear –

"The Services Menu

The Services menu allows applications on Mac OS X to provide system-wide services. Use DEVONthink’s Service menu commands to store selected text as a new plain or rich text document in your DEVONthink database…"

However, what is not pointed out is that the “Services Menu” – in this case, Safari – sends the clip wherever it pleases and does not direct the clip to a particular spot.

Question: How does Safari Services decide where to send the clip in DTPro?

The services use the destination for new notes (see Preferences > Import).
