"Un-findable" documents

I am experiencing an odd phenomenon:

At least one folder in my database is completely “un-searcheable” (I.e. no documents inside this folder are every found during a search), even though it is not excluded from searches. Both Macs hosting this DB show this behaviour.

On my iOS devices, however, the documents are found when search for as expected.

Would anyone have any suggestion what else I could try?

Have you set Exclude from Searching in the Info inspector?

The “Exclude from Searching” checkbox is not set for the documents, nor for any of the containing folders.

I also tried turning “Exclude from Search” on and back off, to no avail.
