For some reason I am unable to update from DT 3.5.2 to 3.6.1. I have tried multiple times, re-started the machine etc, and nothing seems to work. After I download the update and click on “Install and Launch” I get a window saying “Update Error” and a message that says that the update will be available when I re-open DT, but even when I re-launch I am still in 3.5.2.
I would be very grateful for any advice about what I might be doing wrong.
I am running Big Sur 11.1, which may not be helping matters.
In which folder is the app installed and what kind of user account (e.g. admin?) do you use? You could of course download the app also from our website (DEVONtechnologies | Download) and replace the installed app.
Thanks for your help. I have DT installed in the Applications file on my hard drive. The computer itself is networked to a university system. My user account is “Admin, mobile”.
I will try to just download from the website as you suggest. I guess I can then just delete the older version of the app?
