When I download it, it downloads the 30.2 mb file and then always give me the same error:
“An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again later.”
Is the archive file bad?

Just worked okay for me, although I couldn’t get the plug-install screen to go away
I get the same “An error occurred while installing the update. Please try again later.” from Pro Office 2.3.3 to 2.4 on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
As of today 8/13/2012, I still can’t update to 2.4 as I’m still getting the same error. How do I get some tech support?

My update hangs, too. I’m running Mac OS X 10.7.4. Very frustrating.
Sometimes the Sparkle updating mechanism fails, maybe because of corrupted data in the cache or because of problems during the data transfer.
When the automatic updater fails please simply download a fresh copy from our Download page, close your copy, trash it, and replace your old copy with the new one in the Finder. That should do the trick.
