Upgrade to DT Pro Office — OCR of existing PDFs?

When I upgrade to Pro Office (from Pro) I would like to take existing PDFs that do not have OCR (e.g. old scanned paper docs) and process them so that they have OCR. Is this something that I can do with documents that already exist in my Devonthink database, or would I need to re-import or process them with other software?

You don’t need to reimport them. Locate one or more (though be wise about this, ie. don’t select 100+), right-click, and choose Convert > To Searchable PDF.

Note: Using a Smart Group like this is often helpful to identify if files need OCR…
