When you upload a DT3 database file to Dropbox or other online storage, the files contained in the database file will be uploaded individually.
Is it possible to make the database file recognized as one file?
Do you want to upload the .dtBase2 file to Dropbox? It’s not recommended and not supported to synchronize databases and to use them on multiple computers that way, the integrated synchronization (see Preferences > Sync) should be used instead.
But if the Dropbox upload is just a backup, then you could…
…zip the database before uploading.
Since the purpose of the upload is to prepare for the loss of the local backup, we will compress the database file.
Note: I would not suggest this as your primary or only backup. We strongly advocate proper primary backups using TimeMachine (or similar snapshot-style backup applications) and external drives. Also, you should read the series of articles we posted: DEVONtechnologies | Search & Find
