Use of AI to summarize annotations (including highlight colours)

Recently, I am using DEVONthink a lot to summarize my annotations of PDF documents. As suggested by @cgrunenberg, I am doing this by prompting the respective LLM in the chat to comprehensively summarize my annotations, which works quite well. However, it appears that (unlike when using Tools β†’ Summarize Annotations β†’ as Rich Text), no information about the colours of highlights is extracted and passed to the LLM this way. Is that correct? If so, it would be great if this feature could be added. I would like to include in my prompt references to the colours used in the annotations (e.g., to not omit any details in red highlights or to include blue highlights verbatim).

I have also tried using Tools β†’ Summarize Annotations β†’ as Rich Text and then asking the LLM to summarize the resulting document, but the benefit of directly asking it to summarize the annotations of the PDF document is that the resulting summary will contain direct links to the respective annotations in the PDF, which is very useful.

That’s right, a future release might change this.
