Using Applescript to save into the database

I’m opening a PDF in my database with PDFClerk Pro and saving changes made with applescript back into the database using the path shown in the “Show Info” window.
PDFClerk has it’s own proprietary format when using their “Save” command but I’m using their export command to keep it a PDF.

Wondering if that will corrupt the database.

Also wondering if writing a new file using this method will corrupt.

Seems to have worked OK so far. The log window show “updated” and “added” for a couple of files I tried. But I wanted to ask.

It shouldn’t cause any damage but it’s hard to tell without knowing the script.

The script is not complicated, just saves to the database.
