Using DTPO to categorise, quantify and report on receipts


I have been looking at the new notes templates but haven’t been able to determine whether it’s possible to use DTPO to run reports which total the amounts on a group of receipts.

I presume that the approach would be to use a modified annotation with date, amount and category. However, I’m not sure to extract the data into a report.

Is anyone able to do this successfully or have any suggestions?

DTPO really isn’t adept at the task you propose. There is no math engine or other functions for collating and manipulating numerical data. Your best bet is to use Numbers, Excel, Bento, etc.
