Is there a way of setting up a timer for particular entries? I searched the posts and saw nothing on this topic. It would be terrific for those trying to use DT as a practice management tool. 
The answer is probably “No”, but maybe if you were a little more specific about what you want to accomplish there is another approach.
For example, if you want to see how much time you spend on a reading or writing a given document in DEVONthink, then maybe Time Sink would do?
