Very slow opening RTFD files

I’m a new DT user and overall love it, but I’m running into a peculiar bug (it seems): often when I save a RTFD file (e.g., when dragging and dropping a bunch of text from Safari into the sorter), DT seems to have a lot of trouble opening the file – the whole program slows down to a crawl for up to 10+ seconds. These aren’t super-complex files – maybe 10,000 words max – and when I save them as PDFs (which is what I’ve started doing with all my importing) everything works fine. Is this a known issue?

The rich text documents created by Safari contain quite often lots of tables slowing down the text engine of Mac OS X a lot. Removing the tables should fix this. Or just send an example to cgrunenberg - at - devon-technologies.com and I’ll check this, thanks.
