the view controls on the right side of the toolbar do not change the view. It remains in list view, even when icon view, column view and cover flow are selected and turn blue to indicate they’re selected. Any help would be appreciated.

Same here (DT 3.9.7, macOS 14.5). The menu entries work, the toolbar buttons don’t.

To confirm, it is these buttons (screen shot):
And I see same (none of these buttons do anything. Probably the “action” on press, or something, missing. The pull-down sort control does work as expected.
