viewing all tags in a group

Currently, I have a tag structure that include “sub-tags”. See attached screenshot.

I would like to select the “parent” tag, and see all the documents in the “sub-tags”, but this does not seem to work. In the attached example, It does “see” that I have 92 documents in the “sub-tags”, but for some reason, it does not list them. I need to select each sub tag individually.
Is there a way I can do this?
Perhaps this is a bug?

It’s not a bug. Selecting a parent will not expose items in subfolders. You can Shift or Command-click other groups to see their contents.

You can also switch to the Tags view, and select the parent tag. That will display all the sub-tags of the parent.
