What's Procedure once Bug Ticket assigned?

What is the general procedure and flow of status I should see when I have submitted a bug report and have a ticket number?

Will I get any notice of the item being worked on? Do I always have to go back to the Support Ticket System to see the status?

Just not sure what I need to do now that I’ve sent in my report and files and other info…
