The setup is one PDF file, an annotation file created from the “Annotations & Reminders” Inspector and one more markdown file (lets call it testfile.md).
If I put a wikilink without square brackets in the annotation file, there is no incoming link in the Document Inspector Links section of “testfile.md”.
A wikilink with square brackets in the annotation file shows in “testfile.md” as an incoming link.

I would find it helpful to quote parts of a PDF file in the annotation file and use the wikilinks (without the square brackets) to reference to related information.
Am I missing something?
A workaround would be, to create a smart rule and convert the wikilinks to itemlinks for annotation files. Is there another way?
