Will Mail-import maintain my mail's folder structure?

Hi there,
I’m just giving DTPO a new spin and immediately was trapped by a limitation of the demo… :confused:

I want to use DTP (amongst other stuff) to keep an archive of my email, but keep the mailbox structure. Unfortunately the demo doesn’t let me import enough emails to verify this works.

As you can see from the screenshot below:

  • left is the structure of my IMAP Server (shown in Apple Mail)
  • to the right is DTPO’s Mail-Preview, which flattens out sub-directories and puts everything in a long list
  • at the top right is, where the demo stops… so I have no clues what happens then.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

The command “Archive Mailbox” of File > Import > Email retains the folder structure whereas scripts, drag & drop or the commands “Add to DEVONthink Pro Office” add the messages/mailboxes to the chosen group.
