XMenu only lists applications

When I launch XMenu I only get a list of applications in a long list. There is no about, preferences, or Quit command.

I put an alias to my home folder in the Xmenu folder but it doesn’t show up.

Hold the Command key while opening an XMenu menu. Voilà.
