I have a YT subscription in order to avoid advertising.
After importing a YT video from safari through the DT web clipper, my YT account is not detected, nor is the auto filling of my login and password of the Mac system/Password Manager.
I do not have this issue with Readwise Reader, nor Obsidian Web clipper, in which the video can be played connected to my account (without advertising clips) (I share the iFrame to Obsidian though, not the web link, but I didn’t found a way to do so in DT).
Maybe there is a setting in DT solving this issue, or a better way to import a YT link ?
BTW, I just saw that the Safari DT extension/Clipper disappeared, and is no longer listed in Safari extensions ? I’ve been using it all day long.. How can I set it back ?
I am also subscribed to YouTube premium and to my knowledge there is no currently a way to have a session in DEVONthink which would allow to open YouTube links in DEVONthink without ads…(I might be wrong, the DT has more info on that).
However, I want to share with you one workaround that you might consider: use Downie to download the videos you need and save them directly in DT.
DEVONthink doesn’t share cookies with your other browsers.
Did you try to log in?
I don’t use youtube premium, but I just opened youtube.com in DT’s browser and logged in. Then restarted the application and openend youtube.com again. I was still logged in.
