1000+ page PDF locks up DT

I have a 1000+ page PDF document that drives DEVONthink insane. It gives me the beachball and drives one of the CPU cores to 100% utilization until I get sufficiently irritated and force quit the application.

The first page of the document displays fine in the preview and I have the thumbnail view hidden. If I sample the application (via the Activity Monitor) it seems to be doing a lot of work drawing things (hidden thumbnails perhaps?)

Is there any hope that this issue will be addressed?

I have the PDF 1.6 specification here (1200+ pages) and it is indeed quite slow in displaying compared to version 1. Your best course of action is to send a message to support@devon-technologies.com then we can make sure it ends up with Christian so he can take a look at it. I will do the same.
