I’m currently trying out the 1Password trial, and I really like it. I see that they used to support DevonAgent as a browser with an undocumented “feature” in Snow Leopard, but have since discontinued it because of the way that this is implemented. On their site, they write that they will actively support browsers which make that sort of option available.
I’m wondering if there’s any way that you guys can talk to them and implement support for it somehow? It would be very useful as I tend to use DA a lot for research and having my passwords accessible very easily for sites with logins would be most excellent.
That’s kind of a shame. Thanks for the link. I didn’t see it in search for some reason.
Are there any extensions supported by DA? I was under the impression that since it’s built on webkit/safari (from what I can see), it would at least support safari extensions?
bump. I’m interested in this. I would be also interested in learning more about adding more functionality to the DA browser. It is good for what it does, which is getting data quickly into DT. I seem to be using it more and more these days and only infrequently going into chrome.
Yes I have and I see it now in the preferences for the key combo. That definitely cleared it up.
I notice that DA has to be the default for that to work, however, and currently Chrome is my default browser. One think that drives me nuts about DA is that I can’t click/drag tabs around, unfortunately, which means it becomes a little messy for me. Overall, there are some features to Chrome which I really have become used to in my work routine. But with the way that Google is going, I would actually like to replace it in the near future. The problem is that DA isn’t on that UI level yet for what I need to do every day.
Yeah, that and a few other things which are standard in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (and even Opera) are things which I’m honestly waiting for in DA. I still use DA all the time for searches, however. I just don’t use it as my main browser at the moment.
All in all, I’m a Devon Technologies fan and recommend it to everyone. I have DT, DA, and the new DevonSphere Express, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchases.
