Why they matter
I have a considerable number of custom keyboard shortcuts using the hyper key ( ⌃⌥⌘ in the place of caps lock for me; see this explanation if you don’t know what a hyper key is). Some of my scripts inside DEVONthink are assigned such shortcuts for convenience, and I don’t want them to interfere with any of the default shortcuts with 3 or more modifiers (⇧ shift, ⌃ control, ⌥ option, ⌘ command; A hyper key combines either three or all four of them, depending on your own configuration.)
All such default shortcuts as of DEVONthink v3.9.8 are listed below. It can be a neat reference for deciding which key combination (not) to use.

- C: copy item link
- D: “show only documents” in viewer
- I: move focus to inspector
- L: align to the left (in e.g. RTF)
- N: create new plain text document
- P: move focus to document preview
- R: align to the right (in e.g. RTF)
- S: move focus to left sidebar
- T: show tags bar at the bottom
- V: move focus to viewer
- Y: verify and optimize databases
⇧⌃⌘
- W: close current database
- Y: check file integrity
⇧⌥⌘
- V: paste and match style
- P: go to specific line in document
⇧⌃⌥⌘
- W: close all databases
