A no Tag search, wildcard ?

Hello

Is there a way to create a smart folder that will specifically search for all documents without a Tag.

As I utilise Tags alot it would be useful as a housekeeping folder.

At the moment I am able to create a smart folder that searches all documents then sort via tag, but this gives a sidebar document number of all documents and not a number of documents with out a Tag.

I am aware devonthink values groups and tags the same but Is there a search wildcard available for Tag is / is not in search options ?

I think you’re asking to see all unTagged files…? If so…

If you want to limit your search to only documents (no groups), then you will want to add the criterion Kind>is>Any Document to the example Jim shared.

For those who find this and are using DEVONThink 3, this is now know as “Item” and works the same.

Thanks for the alert to the change. I was just looking for an untagged OR “no tags” search myself.
