Add the full url to the devonthink metadata when saving a file into the global inbox?

Hi again

im wondering if is it possible, when I save a file from a browser (or any type) through the Save dialog into the DEVONthink global inbox, to also have the actual full URL of the item (from a web browser) auto-populate the DEVONthink URL field? Is that possible in any way?

ie when i do this

auto populate the current tab url into here

it does currently seem to save the base url but not the full one ie https://makerworld.com/en/models/1744698-magnetic-cable-organizer-with-connector-holder?from=search#profileId-1854311)

thx!

Services, clipping (e.g. via bookmarklets, browser extensions or the Sorter), scripts and printing to DEVONthink automatically do this. But the global inbox folder is just a monitored folder.

Thx @cgrunenberg

got it so for downloading actual files (ie zip files, stl’s pdf from website etc) there is no way to do so (manually or via scripting) right?

Safari adds usually the URL to downloads as an extended attribute and DEVONthink supports this information. But saving to the inbox folder probably doesn’t.
